Butuan City, January 4, 2025 – A significant step forward in healthcare accessibility for almost 616,379 Pag-IBIG members in Northern Mindanao region was taken last January 4, 2025 with a momentous MOA signing between the Pag-IBIG Fund and ACE Medical Center – Butuan. This marks a historic first, as ACE Medical Center – Butuan becomes the first hospital in the Caraga region and Northern Mindanao to offer Pag-IBIG HELPs – a vital program designed to support members’ healthcare expenses.
The ceremony, held at ACE Medical Center – Butuan, witnessed the presence of key leaders from both organizations. ACE Medical Center – Butuan was represented by its President and CEO, Dr. Fredilyn G. Samoro, and Hospital Administrator Dr. Psyche C. Nebrada, while the Pag-IBIG Fund was represented by Ms. Jocy Mar D. Dammay, Assistant Department Manager and Acting Area Head of Northern Mindanao, and Ms. Maria Olive U. Seron, Branch Head of the Pag-IBIG Butuan Branch.
Pag-IBIG HELPs- a loan specifically designed to ease the financial burden of education and healthcare, plays a crucial role in supporting Pag-IBIG members and their families. This innovative partnership with ACE Medical Center-Butuan streamlines the process for members by directly crediting the funds to the accredited hospital, eliminating the need for extensive paperwork and reducing administrative hurdles. This direct crediting mechanism not only simplifies the process but also ensures a smoother and more efficient financial pathway for the members who need it most.
Dr. Samoro, in remarks made during the signing ceremony, expressed excitement for this groundbreaking partnership. “We’re proud to collaborate with Pag-IBIG to make quality healthcare more accessible to the Caraga and Northern Mindanao community. This agreement is a reflection of our shared vision: to ensure that every individual, regardless of their financial situation, receives the care they need to heal and thrive. We are deeply grateful to Pag-IBIG for their support and for recognizing the importance of healthcare accessibility for all Filipinos.”
This initiative is a major boon for Northern Mindanao, offering crucial support to a significant portion of the population. It underscores a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Pag-IBIG members and their families, particularly in a region where access to quality healthcare may sometimes be challenging.
The collaboration demonstrates a strong commitment to the overall well-being and financial security of Pag-IBIG members, offering practical support and simplified access to vital services. This partnership will inspire further collaborative initiatives in the region and beyond. It’s a shining example of how public-private partnerships can positively impact communities by providing access to necessary resources and promoting overall well-being.
Watch out for the Launching of Pag-IBIG HELPs SOON at ACE Medical Center – Butuan!
